| Thanks to Kylie for her honest review of "The Curse of Uluru" although i am no longer a member of the band, i do still listen to the cd we recorded, and think back to the 9 months of intense learning, arranging and sweating! This was the first concert for almost the entire band, and to record it was a brave step i think. We were aware of the tonal issues, blowing and finger errors, but rather than have Murray "edit out" we decided to present the concert as it was heard on the night. The band continues to grow stronger, and the sale of this cd should ensure that this growth will continue. I would urge you to buy this cd, if not for the entertainment value within, then to support a young exciting band with huge potential.

| I enjoyed this CD, and especially the first track. Any band - let alone Grade 2 - playing Gordon Duncan's "Pressed for Time?" shows just how far we've come in the last 10 years. Full credit to Torphichen for lettin' it dangle, as they say. As real a pipe band CD as you will ever hear. |

| I enjoyed this cd immensely, the wealth of talent shown is remarkable for a band that is relatively new on the scene after a sabbatical of several years. Congratulations must go to Gordon Stafford for enticing the likes of Chris Djuritscek and Stuart Robertson to his band. These two possess the writing talent that most of us only dream of. I particularly enjoyed the suite, i can imagine that if any of the big bands were to hear this it would certainly find its way into their own concert repetoir, an absolute gem of a composition, rarely came accross these days. Well done Torphichen for what i think stands up against many, if not most live pipe band recordings today. | |
