i like that, "joined by another piper". the MC made sure that we knew who Allen was (P/S perhaps?) as he presented the band onstage

Sorry Seamus, I was busy scribbling notes, and didn't want to get the name wrong. Thanks for pointing it out.

I could not agree more with your review! Myself and 5 of my band mates (Catamount Pipe Band) made and 11 hour trip to see the show. I would get back in the car tomorrow and do it again. It was awesome! Thanks for the reminder.

I have just read the reports and comments or the S.L.o.T. concert and could,nt agree more .Theywere magnifficent and the supporting bands and storyteller great. Myself and my wife traveled over from England ,a special treat for my 65th bithday. What a musical treat!I had been to thier concert in Glasgow ,but thought the atmasphere, in the lovely little theatre in Pittsburgh was smashing . We went to here some of the young pipers in the afternoon competition and thought there were some very good performances,we were amazed at the distance that they traveled .A great weekend and wish the Balmorel Organisation all the best for the future.Andrew N.Gallagher

When competing, play to your strengths, not your weaknesses. It's useless to play 'Susan MacLeod' if you are not able to make strong clear darados. Steer clear of the 'Atholl Cummers' if you can't make F doublings. Concentrate on tunes that allow you to show off the best of your finger technique.
