COMMENT(S): 10 Questions With...Drew Duthart

Didn't Tom & Gordon Brown both lead their Boghall Corps to a Sash before 2007? Tom - 1981, '82 & '83 Gordon - 2001

You're correct Steven. Tom got a hat-trick of Worlds Drumming titles as LD of Boghall in the 80s (the first being in 81) and Gordon was definitely LD when Boghall won the Worlds drumming in 01.

Pretty sure the "once" is with reference to the number of Father son combinations not actual numbers of wins. This is a great 10 question article. My favourite yet. Long live the kevlar burner, he's a wicked musician. Cheers Drew!

Hi Hoss - the "once" does indeed refer to the number of Father & Son wins. Comments from Steven and I related to the original article which said it has "never" happened before. The article's since been updated to read "once". Cheers Jamie

Thanks Jamie, Hoss, Steven. Everyone is correct. I can't believe that I originally overlooked Tom and Gordon's achievement. Thanks to your Comments, I did change the text, which does refer to the number of father-son-combinations that accomplished it previously. And to be sure, Alex and Drew Duthart's feat is no less remarkable.
