Great article so far, with one really amusing bit of [unintended] irony. : ) Great description by Rob of the mood at those indoor events. The quartets and mini bands at Bellahouston Academy were still big days when I was first there, and there was a lot of interest because ANY band could put up four great players, and it was interesting to see who'd get it right. [players and judges]

Fantastic interview so far. Polkemmet in the 80s, along with Boghall, were my favourite bands at the time. I think their medleys were just so much more exciting than anyone else around at the time. Really looking forward to part 2.
