COMMENT(S): Masterful Medleys 2008: Toronto Police

I've heard the youtube recording several times and still can't decide if I like this medley or not. Here's hoping they get through the qualifier, so we can get to hear it live, as I'm sure it'll bring a whole new perspective to it. If they don't get through the qualifier (although I'm sure they will) perhaps they could do as SoS have promised to do and play it for us outside the beer tent.

I really appreciate the time taken to provide insight into this piece of superb music. It was a great read. Good luck in Scotland!

Youtube just doesn't do this medley justice. What a treat to see it 'live' at Maxville. Many thanks! Best of luck at the worlds.

Cool. But it looked like Jimmy Baxter didn't like it much judgeing from his marks at Maxville.

Rests/silence can be extremely effective in drum scores. Medleys written with little or no rests can sound bland and monotonous.
