COMMENT(S): Willie McCallum: the pipes|drums Interview, Part 4

My only regret is this is the last installment (maybe more in the future?) I've loved all of these interviews. And through them all, the thing I've most admired is the emphasis on still learning, still fine tuning, still thinking. And again, so much to be learned not just by top level competitiors, but by anybody learning, at whatever stage. Inspiring, motivating, and top notch in my book!

This is a great interveiw and I have learned a lot from it, especially this last installment where he speaks about nervousness in competition. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us WM.

Lucid, level-headed and candid thoughts throughout from a great player and a great person. There's much to be learned from WM on all fronts. Well done!

When teaching solo drumming, patience is a necessity. Enforce the basics. Don't rush the student into playing rudiments/tunes too difficult for them.
