Colin is a smart guy, a great guy, and the embodiment of what he talks about....he plays in a way and style that no-one else will attempt. Bruce Gandy and I listened together to Colin at the Piobaireachd Society Gold Medal contest, when it was held in Cambridge Ont. many years ago. He was playing in the MSR, and played Mrs. MacDonald of Dunach in the most terrific and idiosyncratic style....neither Bruce nor I could have played it as he did, but holy smoke, did it resonate with both of us as one of the great performances of a competition march that we had ever heard. We really need more piping with a distinct individual stamp. Guys like Colin make that possible.

Wow, what an amazing read. Quite disappointed those interviews have come to an end. They have each been packed with top quality information and insights and to me they just read quality, quality, quality. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you.

I would have to say I enjoyed reading this series more than almost anything else I've read on pipes|drums. Well done. JM
