Russell bagpipes, Greenock, Scotland.
According to J. Campbell's highland pipe book, Russell Pipes were turned between the late 1940s / mid 1950s.
The pipes were styled in the Henderson tradition. Jack Dunbar was one of the original wood turners.
These pipes are African Blackwood, fully mounted with lovely natural ivory. Very good original condition.
Not positive on the exact year turned. No original chanter, sticks and stocks only.
