Sixth ANAPBA Summit in Winnipeg

The sixth annual summit of the Alliance of North American Pipe Band Associations (ANAPBA) will meet in Winnipeg from Friday, January 7, to Sunday, January 9, to continue discussions on a diverse array of topics.

RSPBA Chairman Kevin Reilly will again attend the meeting. He is scheduled to present a session entitled, “The Next 75 Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association,” and participate in a segment, “Working together with the RSPBA.”

The RSPBA in the past year has announced that it will bring in more international judges to major competitions to better reflect competing bands’ countries or origin.

Ten organizations comprise ANAPBA. The Atlantic Canada Pipe Band Association will not attend this year’s summit. The Eastern United States Pipe Band Association will attend the meeting. The EUSPBA did not attend last year’s summit.

The full agenda for the ANAPBA Summit is available at the alliance’s Web site.
