Johnston, Liddell red hot at Inveraray

Inveraray, Scotland – July 19, 2015 – It was a hot – actually, truly hot – and gorgeous day at the annual Inveraray Highland Games, the largest Scottish solo event apart from the Northern Meeting and Argyllshire Gathering. The entry was big, with 23 on the list and 20 turning up to compete in the Premier/A-Grade events, with a “super high standard,” according to one prizewinner. Finlay Johnston won the big Piobaireachd event, while local hero Stuart Liddell took both light music first prizes, capturing the overall trophy.
