McWhirter wins World Solo Drumming Championship

Monkstown, Northern Ireland – October 28, 2006 – Steven McWhirter of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band won his first World Solo Drumming Championship, besting 16-time-winner Jim Kilpatrick of the House of Edgar-Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band.
