Bratach Gorm goes to Jack Lee
London – November 4, 2006 – The Bratach Gorm, one of the world’s most prized piobaireachd awards, was won by Jack Lee of Surrey, British Columbia, at the annual Scottish Pipers Society of London competitions at Glaziers’ Hall on the banks of the River Thames. With the win, Lee becomes the second to qualify for the 2007 Glenfiddich Invitational Solo Piping Championships at Blair Atholl, Scotland, in October. Willie McCallum of Bearsden, Scotland, received the John MacDonald Quaich for best aggregate results across all senior competitions.
