Updated: Boyd gains Young Piper of the Year award

Benbecula, Scotland – July 19, 2006 – Andrea Boyd of Nova Scotia was named the Young Piper of the Year at the annual competition in the Hebrides.

Boyd gained a first in the March, first in the Strathspey & Reel, second in the Hornpipe & Jig, and fourth in the Piobaireachd to capture the aggregate prize.
