Amanzimtoti: Benoni

Amanzimtoti, South Africa – May 2, 2015 – The first major championship of the South African pipe band season took place at Hutchinson Park in Amanzimtoti along the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. The weather was “bagpipe perfect.” One judge who would like to remain anonymous remarked how “the standard across all the grades was markedly improved from last year which is both encouraging and exciting.” In Grade 2, Benoni MacTalla took top honours by winning both the MSR and the Medley.
