Easton, Rowe on top at Brown Cup
Porirua, New Zealnd – June 11, 2016 – Stuart Easton won the 64th annual Brown Cup MSR competition held this year at the Royal New Zealand Police College, and Willie Rowe took home the top piobaireachd prize. The event is named in honour of Robert Urquhart Brown, one half of the famous Bobs of Balmoral, who travelled several times to New Zealand to teach, and left a significant mark on the country’s piping scene. Judges for both events were Alistair Hanning and Stewart McKenzie.
