Could someone give me an answer please. Willie MacCallum & Gordon Walker are both great pipers, and no offense to the great Willie, but how does his two seconds and no place in H&J beat Gordons two firsts and a fourth? Local favorite?
Sarge: You say ‘no offense’ then say something completely offensive. I don’t think anyone ever wins any contest because they’re the local favourite.
Hear, hear.
Here I am calling Sarge out for being anonymous, and I forget to put my name. Andrew Hayes
I was there and it was a great day with very high standards of playing. Wonderful listening – these guys are just so good. Thanks to Kintyre Piping for a nice day and a very well run competetion. No delays between pipers.
It’s OK, the friends and fans of both Willie and Gordon aren’t offended. On ya go!
My apologies to Willie and the judges. I truly did mean no offense as I have great admiration for all the above. I was guilty of not reading the article correctly or completely. Mea culpa! I’m just a broken down old piper with no credentials except a great love of the pipes. Old enough that I should know to keep my mouth shut until sure of all facts.
