NORTH OF 60? THIS NIGHT IS FOR YOU!
Are you eligible for CPP? Haven’t competed solo for years? Or never competed? Want to get together with other oldtimers and have some fun playing pipes? Still love to play and don’t want to play in a solo competition? Then we need you! The inaugural meeting of the “North of 60 Pipers’ Club”.
Put this on your calendar:
Saturday, April 26, 2025, 7:00 p.m.
Place: Seaforth Armoury, Sergeants’ Mess/Anderson Room
Cost: Free admission for everyone (including those under 60!) The mess bar will be open. All are invited — including our younger colleagues.
All “North of 60” pipers, not currently competing solo, bring your pipes and have a tune! Here’s what is planned:
Every eligible piper (we will be checking ID!) will be encouraged to have a tune or two of whatever they want — just for fun. Maximum 6 minutes from the time you blow up. Play anything.
This is NOT a competition.
Rules:
There are no rules.
But here’s the rules:
1. Must be CPP eligible to play.
2. No kilts allowed.
3. Gracenotes optional — nobody will be counting.
4. No recording without permission of the performer.
5. Must enjoy yourself — there will be a test at the end of the evening.
We very much appreciate the kind hospitality and cooperation of the Seaforth Highlanders in providing such a spectacular venue for an evening to meet our friends and to play pipes for fun. Hope you can make it!
