I am planning on holding a Summer Drum School this year in the first week of July. The sessions will be mornings only, starting at 9 and finishing at 12. There will be a Novice Class and an Intermediate Class. The Novice Class will be for those drummers who have just started or who would like to start with a good grounding in the basics. You will learn basic technique, reading simple drum music and two parts of a 4/4 March on the Snare and the Bass Drum. The Intermediate Class will be for drummers that are playing on the drum already. You will learn intermediate level score phrases suitable for use at the Grade 4 or 5 level, and will use those phrases to compose your own drum score for a group performance in class on Friday.
