It's our last gathering of the season! Join us Friday, May 5 at Cafe Sam in Bloomfield from 8-10pm. Our special guest piper will be Michael Grey  from Ontario. Michael will play several sets of light music as well as the featured piobaireachd for the evening. His website is www.dunaber.com.

Bloomington Pipers' Society was formed to promote piping, drumming, and highland dance in and around Southern Indiana. It is a non-band environment for those interested in the music of the bagpipes to meet others and hear some pipe music. The Society focuses on the Great Highland Bagpipes, but is welcome to all pipers.

The April Gathering will be an open play format for local pipers.

The Sask Pipe Band Association presents its annual summer school of piping and drumming.

Two full days of Highland Games and Celtic Festival in beautiful, downtown Victoria Park. Pipe bands from across the prairie region compete in all grades, full solos on 2 days, a Highland dancing championship and premiership, Western Canada Scottish Athletics Championship, beer tent, vendors, all-day music and dance!

The idea is to further create some community and camaraderie amongst pipers, drummers and fellow bandsmen in the Calgary surrounding area.

This event is for all players, from all bands, regardless of skill level.

The idea is to get together, to hear - and celebrate - some music from fellow musicians.

An all-ages, family-friendly event, each "Pipers Club" gathering is a safe, fun and supportive opportunity for local players to play in front of each other in a fun, non-competitive setting.

The second annual Cincinnati Piping & Drumming Solo Competition & Workshop on Saturday, April 8th 2017. A sanctioned solo competition will take place in the morning followed by piping and drumming workshop sessions in the afternoon taught by the competition judges. Pipiing judges include Barry Conway, Clark Abercrombie and Greg Abbott. Snare judge is Jon Quigg. An unsanctioned tenor comp will be judged by Anne Roby.

With the support of a generous benefactor, we are excited to announce that all amateur competitors will be eligible to win valuable prizes from the following list. All amateur competitors will receive 1 raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from this list, and additional tickets may be acquired through success in the solo competition, increasing the chances of winning one of these great prizes! The Empire Pipe Band just finished it's competition season placing 2nd at the Celtic Classic, completing a very exciting and rewarding competition season. Though only in our second year, Pipe Major Brendan Gomez and Drum Sgt. Elizabeth Belmont have set lofty goals for the band moving forward. We wish to expand our ranks, seeking out Pipers and Drummers willing to work hard and seeing those efforts pay off in the competition circle.
