The Mid-Winter Celtic Festival is comprised of a few events over the weekend, including the famous and always-sold-out Mid-Winter Ceilidh. This year, the Ceilidh features Calgary fiddler Lizzy Hoyt [www.lizzyhoyt.com] and her band, The City of Regina Pipe Band [www.crpb.org] and the Prairie Gael Irish Dancers. Tickets for the Ceilidh are available online [PayPal, Visa, MC]. As well, the Festival will include an all-day music session at O'Hanlon's Pub in Regina, a public performance venue in a local mall, and some specific workshops, TBA.

Chieftains' Parade The Chieftain's Parade commences at 10.30am on Saturday 29 May, from the Balbardie Hotel to Meadow Park. The Seven Towers Pipe Band is again hosting the "U B The Judge" competition. The format for the competition is a 15 minute recitial from each player and as the name suggests, you have the chance to vote at the end of the evening for who you thought deserved to win. On Sunday 04 April 2010 the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band will host the National Tartan Day Celebration at 12 noon on Parliament Hill, Ottawa. All tartans are welcome.
