Celtic Inn Manawatu Wins New Zealand Championships Again

Napier, New Zealand, March 9, 2002 – The Celtic Inn Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band won its second consecutive New Zealand Nationals Pipe Band Championship in this architecturally historic city today, tipping the Dalewool Auckland & Districts Pipe Band.

Celtic Inn Manawatu won the medley event, while Dalewool Auckland & Districts took the march, strathspey & reel. Third and fourth place piping rankings for Auckland & Districts in the medley secured the big prize for Manawatu.
