Charity tickled Pink with Field Marshal fundraising

The two-week fundraising efforts by the 2010 Champion of Champions Field Marshal Montgomery have resulted in £1500 so far gained for the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Campaign. But the band has decided not to stop until another £1000 is raised.

FMM will continue to offer both its RE:CHARGED CD and DVD at a reduced £10, with all profits going to the charity until a total of £2500 is achieved.

The band initially offered the reduced—rate products  over the first two weeks of August, selling the CD and DVD at its August 6th concert with SFU and the Ulster Pipe Band Championships the following day, in addition to online sales.

“I have contacted the charity, and advised them of our total to date, and they  are over the moon with the  generosity from the pipe band world and very grateful for the effort,” said Earl Glasgow, FMM chairman. “They are also very grateful for the awareness that the Pink Challenge has  created as well, which they state is just as important as the money raised.”

Those wishing to purchase the CD and/or DVD online at the discounted price can do so from the FMM website.

  1. I’ve just ordered mine. Just a wee note for anyone ordering – it looks initially in the FMM site that the price isn’t discounted but it does show the discount in your ‘cart’ when you click to order.
