Field Marshal wins Scottish Championship

Dumbarton, Scotland – May 22, 2004 – Field Marshal Montgomery won the Scottish Pipe Band Championship here today against a field of 15 other Grade 1 bands. Weather was sunny and warm all day.

With Richard Parkes, who is recovering from a stroke suffered in March, helping with the band’s tuning, Field Marshal was a popular winner. One listener described them as having a “tremendous sound.”
