Grade 1 MP3 files: SL78FH prevail at Kincardine

Kincardine, Ontario – July 5, 2008 – Glorious sunny skies and temperatures around 22 degrees made the annual Kincardine Scottish Festival ideal for piping and drumming competitions in the morning and bands in the afternoon. The Scottish Lion-78th Fraser Highlanders of Toronto won the three-band Grade 1 contest with four first placings. Andrew Hayes of Ottawa was the Professional Piper of the Day.

  1. Congratulations to all the bands – especially to TPPB for another fine showing – and to that handsome Sean McK for the Piob win! Sounds like we missed another wonderful Kincardine. On the other hand, great days for bands are also brilliant days for motorcycling, and I had a delightful time storming the back roads of Livingston County on the mighty Ninja, which is not a bad substitute. Think Gr1 is going to get even more interesting when Windsor join the fray. Hope we can get to Chatham to see and hear everyone. Cheers
