Greg Wilson wins New Zealand Championship

Dunedin, New Zealand – June 3, 2006 – Greg Wilson of Palmerston North, New Zealand, won the New Zealand Solo Piping Chmapionship, the country’s biggest solo event of the year. The Hawke family did very well, with Richard Hawke taking several prizes and his son, Jamie, beating him in the Open Hornpipe & Jig and gaining the most points in the under-21 events. Harrison Hawke won the under-16 aggregate and B-Grade contest, and Angus Hawke winning prizes in the D-Grade events.
