Hanover Indoor attracts 22 bands, 65 soloists

Hanover, Ontario – April 28, 2007 – The 13th annual Hanover Indoor Competition attracted a record entry, with the Penetangore Pipe Band taking top honours. Prizes were donated by L&M Highland Outfitters, Ben Bhraggie House, Burnett’s & Struth, R.J. Kinnaird Bagpipes, Scot Blair Ltd., John Walsh Bagpipes and The Town of Hanover. The event is not a PPBSO sanctioned competition.

Grade 3

1st Penetangore, 2nd Strathnaver
Grade 4: 1st Georgetown, 2nd Brighton, 3rd Penetangore
Grade 5: 1st Georgetown, 2nd Penetangore, 3rd Fergus
Street Bands: 1st Kempenfelt, 2nd Teeswater, 3rd Owen Sound

Solo Piping
Grade 1 & 2:
1st Rob Dickie, 2nd Josh Lamont, 3rd Myke Hall
Grade 3: 1st Brendan Culver, 2nd Graham Hand, 3rd Ben Reid
Grade 4: 1st Cameron Perry, 2nd Fraser Flemming, 3rd Alec Rogers

Practice Chanter: 1st Emilee Bennett, 2nd Bradley Sinopoli, 3rd Ashley Kirby

Solo Snare Drumming

Drum Pad: 1st David Cox, 2nd Don Foley, 3rd Reilly MacBeth

Judges were James MacHattie and Reay Mackay, piping, and Graham Brown, drumming.
