McCallum on top at Donald MacLeod

Stornoway, Lewis, Scotland – April 13, 2007 – Willie McCallum of Bearsden, Scotland, was the overall winner at the annual Donald MacLeod Memorial Invitational Solo Piping Competition. The event honours the memory of the great Seaforth’s pipe-major, whose compositions the competitors have to play. It is the sixth time that McCallum has won the overall prize, which is determined by the Piobaireachd and the MSR event. Judges for all events were Iain MacFadyen, Angus MacLellan and John Wilson.
