Morrison wins seventh Macallan Trophy

Lorient, France – August 1, 2004 – Fred Morrison of Glasgow was the overall winner of the annual Macallan Piping Competition at the Interceltique Music Festival in Brittany, France, his seventh win of the overall title.

The contest pits players from around the world agaisnt each other, competing on the Highland pipes in Scottish, Irish, and Breton events. Competitors qualify for the Macallan at various events in Scotland, Canada, France and Australia.
