Outgoing PPBSO President Bob Allen to be honoured

A special recognition dinner to honour Bob Allen, the outgoing president of the Pipers & Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO), will be held on September 30 at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre in Oakville, Ontario, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $35 CAD, available on a first-come basis for the hall that seats a maximum of 230. The evening will include music and speeches to honour Allen’s lifetime commitment and contribution to the PPBSO.

    Since first taking the role of President, Bob Allen has continued to guide the organization’s successful path, converting it to being financially positive, building competitions and events, and formalizing many processes. He previously has served as President of the organization’s Western Branch. As a piper, he was for many years Pipe-Sergeant under Gordon Tuck’s Grade 1 McNish Distillery/St. Thomas Pipe Band.
