PPBSO announces new Associate Membership

The Pipers & Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) has revealed that it has created an “associate” membership, in an attempt to broaden the scope of the organization.

Cost of an Associate membership is $20 per year. Associate members will be allowed to attend workshops, and recitals for the same entry or admission as full members, as well as enjoy any discounts available to PPBSO members. Associate members will not be entitled to compete or vote at PPBSO general and branch meetings.

According to PPBSO President Bob Allen, “Hopefully, this will entice previous members who no longer play and thus have not renewed membership, as well as others, such as mothers, fathers, and others who wish to become involved with the organization.”
