[Photo: Owen Nash]January 26, 2008 – Glasgow – Andrew Carlisle of Northern Ireland (pictured right) won the second annual Gordon Duncan Memorial Invitational Solo Piping Competition, held before a large crowd at the Central Hotel as part of the Celtic Connections festival. Carlisle had the most overall points across the Irish, Scottish and Breton events.

Also competing but not in the prizes were Ryan Canning, Glasgow, Simon McKerrell, Edinburgh, and Alen Tully, Dublin.

All proceeds from the event go to the Gordon Duncan Memorial Trust.
