Piping Hot reveals further partnerships

Piping Hot, the Glasgow International Festival of Piping, has revealed that it has struck deals with the Glasgow newspaper, the Sunday Herald and BBC Radio Scotland.

The Sunday Herald will produce 85,000 brochures to promote the festival, according to festival director Roddy MacLeod.

MacLeod added: “There is also television interest and we are confident that an hour-long TV program will cover the events of that week. Radio Scotland are on board as the festival radio broadcast partner. We hope all of this will bring new audiences to piping and strengthen the place of piping in general.”

The Sunday Herald deal is believed to be the biggest one with a print media company in piping history.
