R.G. Hardie prize pipes arrive in Dunedin

Haley Brinton of Dunedin, Florida, playing her prize R.G. Hardie pipes in concert, May 12, 2007.The prize R.G. Hardie
pipes awarded to in the first-ever pipes|drums Pimp My Pipes! contest arrived last week in
Dunedin, Florida, and made their playing debut at an event
celebrating the Dunedin Pipe Band’s 50 years in the city.

The pipes were given to 12-year-old Haley after her existing pipes
were in such terrible shape that replacing them outright was the
best option.

“They are incredible!” a happy Haley said. “The sound is just
awesome! What a huge difference from my old set. I can’t wait to go
into practice on Wednesday night and show them off.”

Haley took centre stage with her new pipes at a concert in Dunedin
on May 12.
