Royal Engineers: Scandinavian Champions

Herning, Denmark – May 14-15, 2005 – The Grade 2 Pipes & Drums of the 1st Royal Engineers of Sweden won the Scandinavian Pipe Band Championship, taking both the Medley and March, Strathspey & Reel events weekend contest.

The Heather Pipes & Drums of Copenhagen placed second. The Royal Engineers also won the drumming and the drum salute competition.

The 1st Royal Engineers will make the trip to Scotland to compete in Grade 2 at the Scottish Championships on May 21 at Dumbarton.
