Sheridan takes first round of Toronto Amateur Knockout

Toronto – October 18, 2008 – The first round of the 2008 Toronto Amateur Solo Piping Knockout competitions were held at the Mosspark Armoury in downtown Toronto. The event attracted six Grade 1 and Grade 2 pipers in the “A Division.” Elizabeth Sheridan of Oakville, Ontario, gained six points towards playing at the final round in March 2009. The four players with the most points in each division will compete to become the year’s knockout champion.

Bob Worrall judged the contest. The next Toronto Amateur Knockout competition is a “B Division” event for Grade 3 and Grade 4 pipers on November 8, 2008, at 7 pm at Mosspark Armoury. Pipers interested in entering should send an e-mail message to info@ppbso-toronto.org.
