Simon McKerrell new CPA president

Simon McKerrell of Edinburgh was elected president of the Competing Pipers Association at the organization’s annual general meeting in Perth, Scotland, today.

McKerrell takes over for Colin MacLellan, who decided not to run again after completing his second three-year term as president.

Also elected were Pipe-Major Michael Gray, The Highlanders, vice-president; Gareth Rudolph, secretary; and Fiona Manson, Glasgow, treasurer.

Members of the CPA’s organizational committee were also appointed: Anne Spalding, Broughty Ferry, Scotland; Jimmy MacGregor, Perth, Scotland; Brian Mulhearn; Tracy Williams; Iain Speirs, Edinburgh; and Michael Grey, Dundas, Ontario.
