Updated: PPBSO AGM scheduled for November 3rd

The annual general meeting of the Pipers & Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd, in Acton, Ontario.

The AGM will begin promptly at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (for location click here. Among the items on the agenda are:

  • Election of President and Treasurer to two-year terms
  • Tabling of, discussion and voting on motions from branches
  • President, Treasurer and Auditor reports
  • Report from the PPBSO’s Music Board

It is not known whether the organization’s current President, Ron Rollo, intends to stand again for the position, should he be nominated.

The AGM will be followed by the organization’s annual Champion Supreme Award-Winners’ Ceilidh, which will be at the same venue starting at 6:30 pm. At the ceilidh, Champion Supreme Award-winning pipe bands will perform.

Further information on the PPBSO’s AGM and Champion Supreme Ceilidh can be obtained from the organization’s administrator, Sharon Duthart. Ceilidh tickets are $10, and free to Champion Supreme award-winners and those who are registered members of performing bands.

  1. I always like going to the AGM and I believe you don’t have a right to complain if you don’t do try to do something yourself. I predict this years will be more animated then ever.
