Wilson Apppointed Leading Drummer of ScottishPower

Glasgow, Scotland – Barry Wilson, who has played with Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band for years, and who has placed several times in the World Solo Drumming Championships, has been made Leading Drummer of the ScottishPower Pipe Band.

Wilson replaces John Scullion, who ran the band’s drum corps for 10 seasons, helping the band establish itself as a top Grade 1 group.

“John Scullion’s efforts are greatly appreciated by all who have been associated with the band,” said Roddy MacLeod, Pipe-Major of ScottishPower, “but the time is right for the change and we are hopeful that with a fresh approach and a new style the band will be able to progress beyond its current standing.”
