Alberta season gets going at Ogden
Calgary – May 2, 2015 – The Alberta pipe band season kicked off this weekend with the annual Ogden Indoor competition attracting bands from across the province. There was an excellent turnout of soloists in the morning, but a small attendance by bands in the afternoon. The Grade 2 “Battle of Alberta” got off to a slow start with the Rocky Mountain Pipe Band being the only band in the grade. Rivals Viscount Park and the newly-formed North Stratton Pipe Band from Edmonton did not make it out.
