Eade cruises to NZ victory
October 24-25, 2009 – Christchurch, New Zealand – Brendon Eade of New Zealand was the overall winner of the 33rd annual Labour Weekend Solo Piping Competition, which this year hosted the New Zealand Championships. Eade won the aggregate trophy and was named New Zealand’s Champion Piper, also winning both the Piobaireachd Silver Chanter, the MSR, and the former winner’s Clasp MSR the next day, only the second time in 33 years the feat has been accomplished.
