(Updated) Easton starts New Year with a bang
Waipu, New Zealand – January 1, 2015 – The 144st Waipu Highland Games kicked off the New Year for the world’s pipers and drummers, and Stuart Easton emerged the most successful in the Professional solo piping event, with three firsts, two seconds and a third. The events were judged by Stuart Findlayson, Bain McGregor and Greg Wilson.
In the solo drumming, Louis Norton won the overall A-Grade Robert Turner Championship Trophy. Corryn Parry took the aggregate of B-Grade award, winner of the Clan Cameron Trophy for overall C-Grade was David Mouat-Cortes, and the D-Grade Piping Hot Summer Drummer Trophy went to Nathan Ballantyne.
