Forres, Scotland – June 26, 2015 – The RSPBA majors season continued fast and furiously with the third of the year, the European Championships, where Field Marshal Montgomery won Grade 1 in remote northern Scotland in an extraordinary three-way tie for first. Weather was warm and sunny with a high around 20 degrees at a venue that was very popular with competitors. Shotts & Dykehead finished second for the second straight championship, tied eith Field Marshal Montgomery, broken by the ensemble mark. ScottishPower gained its first prize at a major this year with a solid fourth. St. Laurence O’Toole enjoyed a win in the drumming and was third overall. Greater Glasgow Police Scotland would have had another prize if not for being put second-last by piping judge Robert Pollock.
