Gandy hauls in Atlantic Canada Piobaireachd

Antigonish, Nova Scotia – June 6, 2009 – Bruce Gandy of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, won the Atlanta Canada Piobaireachd Challenge, an event that has now expanded to cover all grade of solo piping. Thirty-one entrants played in the contests, co-sponsored by the Antigonish Highland Society and the Atlantic Canada Pipe Band Association. Gandy won $1,000, a Gold Medal and the Captain Iain G. Millington Challenge Cup. It was the eleventh year of the competitions.
