Grade 2 split at Saskatchewan games

Regina, Saskatchewan – May 16, 2015 – The Saskatchewan Highland Gathering & Celtic Festival looked as though it might be blown away in rain and wind, but it turned out to be a mostly great day of weather for Highland games, with overcast skies and some warmth. City of Regina and Rocky Mountain traded places in the Grade 2 events. The new downtown Regina venue proved to be a bit hit, and the event more than tripled gate receipts from previous years. During the massed band and awards ceremony, Saskatchewan Pipe Band Association President Kathleen Fehilly-Douglas presented a “Volunteer Recognition Award” to Iain MacDonald on behalf of the association. The award recognized MacDonald’s contributions in the categories of Musician and Teacher.
