Great Lakes takes both days at Alma
Alma, Michigan – May 29-30, 2010 – The Great Lakes Pipe Band of Ohio won both the Saturday and Sunday Grade 3 competitions at the annual United States Pipe Band Championships at Alma, Michigan, one of the longest-running events in the US. The Grade 1 and Grade 2 categories were uncontested, with only one band appearing in each. The same bands won in each grade on both days. Weather was sunny and hot. Adrian Melvin of Chicago was the overall winner in the Professional Solo Piping.
