Liddell locks down Metro Cup with two seconds

Newark, New Jersey – February 20, 2010 – The 2010 Metro Cup Invitational Solo Piping Competition was won by Stuart Liddell of Inveraray, Scotland, after taking second-prizes in both the Piobaireachd and Medley events. The amateur aggregate champion was Bobby Durning of Mill Town, New Jersey, a pupil of the late George M. Bell, whom the event memorializes. In addition to prize money, Liddell received a custom-made kilt from O’Kane Outfitters. Joseph Brady Sr. was presented with the newly created R.G. Hardie Award for services to piping in the Metro New York area.
