Oran Mor chalks up first Grade 1 victory
Long Beach, California – February 14-15, 2009 – The Oran Mor Pipe Band of New York got that loving feeling the day after Valentine’s Day when the band gained its first victory in Grade 1, coming out ahead of the Los Angeles Scots on the second day of competition at the annual Queen Mary Scottish Festival. The band competition is held at the foot of the 1930s Clydebank-built ocean liner, which serves as a hotel for the games and a venue for the solo competitions.
