Rocky Mountain, Bevan, Killoran, Brown, Maxwell on top at BC Indoor

Delta, British Columbia – March 30-31, 2018 – The British Columbia Pipers Association’s Annual Gathering took to a new venue, North Delta Secondary School for its two-day event. Alan Bevan of Abbotsford, British Columbia, picked up another MacCrimmon Cairn for piobaireachd on the Friday night, and he also won the overall prize across the Open solo piping events. Tori Killoran of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, was the overall winner of the Grade 1 Amateur piping, while Blair Brown and Grant Maxwell split top honours in the Open snare drumming. A piobaireachd competition for pipers graded B or C by the Competing Pipers Association was won by Zephan Knichel. Rocky Mountain of Calgary won the overall prize in the Grade 2 band competition, while the Grade 1 event was uncontested, with only Simon Fraser University playing.
