Rocky Mountain’s smoking at Foothills

Okotoks, Alberta – August 29, 2015 – The Rocky Mountain Pipe Band of Calgary won the Grade 2 event against North Stratton, the only other contestant in the competition, at the annual Foothills Highland Games. Smoke from severe forest fires in far-off Washington state contributed to a thick haze blanketing the park for most of the day. Ann Gray and Elizabeth Shaw were aggregate winners in the Professional grade solo piping and snare drumming, respectively.
