Roddy MacLeod wins Masters to kick off Piping Live!
Glasgow – August, 10, 2015 – Roddy MacLeod was the overall winner of the Masters Invitational Solo Piping Competition, first big event of the 2015 Piping Live! Glasgow International Festival of Piping. The traditional format event comprised Piobaireachd and March, Strathpsey & Reel events, with overall points going four for a first, three for a second, two, third, and one fourth. MacLeod’s first in the Piobaireachd was enough to carry the day since each list was almost entirely different, with only Finlay Johnston gaining a prize in both events. The win gains MacLeod an invitation to the 2015 Glenfiddich Championship in October.
